Biodynamic craniosacral therapy (BCST) is a gentle, hands-on modality, which supports every system of the body.
The session begins by the practitioner deeply settling her nervous system, to meet the client’s nervous system. From there, the practitioner begins to perceive and attune to subtle rhythmic motions in the body.
Attuning to the body’s subtle rhythms in this way was developed by William Sutherland, D.O., an osteopath, in the 1930’s. Dr. Sutherland discovered the rhythmic motion particularly through the cranial bones and spine; he found that there were specific symptoms associated with compression of these bones. It is of valuable note that one of his teachers was part Lumbee, who studied with Shawnee healers. I hold in gratitude these indigenous roots. (Read more.) Fast-forward decades of practice by thousands of practitioners, and things evolve. A foremost teacher, who defined what was evolving, is Franklyn Sills. Sills among others has led practitioners to understand that the human body has a wisdom in its subtle rhythms, beyond what had been imagined. A humbling wisdom, which calls for listening.
Now, practitioners of BCST, rather than manually adjusting an individual’s cranial bones, seek to listen and follow the restorative instincts of this wisdom. The individual is invited to deepen healing for themself, by bringing mindful awareness into their body.
Clients working with me also benefit from Scalar waves present, via a product by Tesla BioHealing. This supports enhanced mitochondrial function and circulation. In addition, healing frequency music is on during the session. Feel free to request a specific tone if you are familiar with Solfeggio frequencies.
I love the quote below because it describes how wholeness is reborn. And, I love this work: every session – even if the body’s activity appears roundabout – unveils with supernatural productivity, new wholeness.
Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
